This is a variant on the partial reveal tool to practise vocab. Move the wordtab around behind the bars and challenge the pupils in pairs/teams to be the first to spell it correctly OR give the meaning OR give the correct definite article to release it from jail. There must be other ways of exploiting the idea. Share them if you get some inspiration!
